I have worked within multiple Child Care Centres gaining different skills and furthering my knowledge throughout the years. I have been a support worker in a toddler room, helping and working alongside children with additional needs. I also gained a job share room leaders' role in a 0-2 room which consisted of program and practice, along with maintaining children's health and safety and fostering positive interactions at all times.
I stepped away from Children Service'ss in 2018 where I moved to Sydney to be a live-in nanny for 8 months. After moving back to Newcastle I have worked within OSSH services and continued my casual babysitting whilst working within the medical field.
In my previous roles, I learned how difficult it can be to manage the varying needs of children in diverse stages of development. I honed the ability to care for each child individually while paying close attention to the needs of the group. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive and happy environment. I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for the children in my care. I have excellent organisational and communication skills, which are very important skills for a carer.
I am looking for flexibility as I am studying a Bachelor of Nursing Full-Time online.
I hold a current WWVC and First Aid Certificate.
I am available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoon, and Friday mornings. Weekends are negotiable. * very flexible around all days.
