Hello families, my name is Abigail. I am an experienced nanny, that's located in the Inner West of Sydney (Canterbury Area). I am looking to fill in my free days with a family. Below is a little about me and my experience, but happy to chat and discuss individual needs of your family.

About me:
I have been a babysitter since age 16, then gained my certificate 3 in early childhood and care (attending placement in several centres). I have since been a fulltime/part time for multiple families in my old area of Campbelltown/Macarthur. Happy to provide many references.
My friends and family say that I'm
- Caring, kind and very good with babies and toddlers.
- Happy and enthusiastic in life.
- Responsible and eager to learn new skills.
- Loves crafts, outings and cooking.
- Really loves being a nanny and gives all her energy and love to the children she cares for including gifts for birthdays, Christmas.
I personally and pride myself to:
- always arriving on time
- being trustworthy/honest
- assist with light house duties such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, children's laundry/tidying.
- assist with Meal prep/ light meals/ shopping
- assist with children's nap/ bedtime (according to the family's routine)
- have a green P license, own car, insurance, own brand-new car seats (depending on age)
- have an ABN, but also happy to be employed and have a contract (if more than 30h)
- can attend/organise play days/outings/educational activities
- Happy to work with parents who either WFH or out of the house.
I've been with multiple families all with 1-2+ kids each and have loved becoming apart of each family. I have grown strong bonds with each child and am always flexible with adapting and learning new skills to assist each family. I love baby snuggles, watching toddlers learn and grow and teaching pre-schooler's get ready for Big School.
Caring for children is my life long passion and I don't see myself ever leaving the industry. The safety and welfare of each child is my number one priority. I love messy/sensory play (like playing with rice/painting) and going on adventures to new and educational places (hence the move). I have taken children on public transport, to zoos/museums/ beaches/parks or just staying home to do colouring, learning, baking. During lockdown, I have learnt new crafts, new baking/cooking skills, and found out that I have an interest in Montessori teaching.
My dream family would be 2+ children, flexible, easy- going family, who don't mind trying new things. I believe in safe sleep, and following the child's interest as a guide to help them learn. I am comfortable with pets.
You can always count on me for extra hours of babysitting, staying back late/starting earlier etc! I have my WWCC, first aid, licence, police check, am fully vaccinated and have plenty of great references!
