I have two sons of my own, 'W' who has just turned 3 years old attends daycare on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 'C' who is 14 months old and loves the socialisation of working and playing alongside me as I work with my lovely families. When 'W' was young, he too accompanied me to work which was wonderful for all parties. Please don't let yourself be deterred by this arrangement - it is actually beneficial for the children and I have a number of referees who I have worked with who can put your mind at ease if you have any concerns regarding this! In the new year my daytime availability will change to Tu/Th/F in addition to casual evenings.
As a nanny and a parent, I believe in the essence of childhood - of allowing children the freedom to learn, play and develop at their own pace and volition within boundaries of security and safety. I am firm when it comes to behaviour and manners, and encourage a healthy, active lifestyle. I aim to help children develop a true curiosity and autonomy, and prefer to get children out and about to experience their world.
I am self employed with an ABN, therefore take care of my own tax, super etc.
I am happy to perform all nursery duties - children's laundry, shopping, meal preparation etc, and welcome families with part time requirements with a minimum of 6hrs per day, preferably consecutive.
