I'm Australian born, grew up south of Wollongong and have lived in Sydney since 2006, when I started University (I went to UNSW, did a Science degree, and also studied Entrepreneurship).

Most of my experience over the last 4-5 years has been with babies and toddlers. But I have looked after multiples (siblings age ranges 0-12), and school-aged kids too. In one instance so far, I have been replaced by the oldest sibling, and the same thing is soon to happen with another family I've known for almost 5 years.
I am keen to follow established routines wherever possible, and will pay close attention to find out about the unique wants and needs of each little one.
I enjoy listening and immersing myself in a child's world. I am happy to follow their lead when it comes to make-believe, playing games, etc. But I'm also firm and can tell when I'm being tricked ;-)
When babysitting during the day, I love to get out and about, taking a walk to the local park, library, swimming pool, cafe or convenience store for ce-cream or other treat (occasionally), toy store (if feeling brave), etc.
I am happy to cook/prepare dinner, and am well versed in the bath, books, bed routine.
I'm punctual and reliable, and will keep in touch throughout the job as much or little as you prefer.
When kids are sleeping, I'm to help out with chores - dishes, folding laundry, etc. Just let me know what you need.

She is friendly, capable and confident. She is also a great communicator, confirming everything before we arrived and keeping me updated along the way. Having not met her before I felt so comfortable leaving the boys with her because of the way she communicated, turned up on time and asked questions about the kids. The boys absolutely loved her and asked after her each day! It was great to come home knowing the kids had been looked after and just the little things like toys picked up, dishes done and everything all neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend Rebecca to other families!

What I love about this work
I love immersing myself in a child's world of make believe. I love answering questions and sharing stories from my own childhood and giving age-appropriate advice. I love the bonds I get to form with kids, and hope to maintain some of the relationships as the kids get older and no longer need a sitter.
