I'm looking for someone with a couple of years' experience as a nanny, child care worker or au pair who can help alleviate the work-life-kids juggle - someone who can pick the kids up from daycare/kinder and school; help with meal and bath time; and who enjoys helping kids (whether that means doing a puzzle or helping with homework). If you enjoy being around children are reliable, trustworthy, punctual, organised and willing to have fun with the kids then I would love to hear from you.
As I'm starting a new job I am not entirely sure on the days that you'd be required, but likely to two afternoons/evening a week from school pick up on a Tuesday and Wednesday (or Tuesday and Thursday) until sometime between 6pm and 7pm. I also may be able to juggle my days around your availability, so please don't let the days listed turn you off!
Assistance on evenings past 6.30/7pm will be limited and you would be provided with ample notice.
We are a non-smoking household and ask that smokers do not apply!
Responsibilities will include: * Meal and bath time * Changing nappies and helping my daughter with toilet training * Preparing snacks and dinner (for the kids only) * Collecting my son from school and my daughter from daycare/kinder * Playing with the kids * Reading to my son * Some light cleaning duties - i.e. washing and putting away dishes and a tidying up after meals and play times.
You will hold a current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check (WWWC), Police Check and driver's licence (full license please). Ideally you are a registered carer (although this is not imperative). I also require at least two contactable references.
In return, you will be well-treated, can help yourself to food that's in the house (even do the occasional load of washing for yourself if you want to!), and be treated as one of the family.
