Fun family of 4 (soon to be 5) looking for someone to join us and help us survive day to day!!
Mother's Helper Role - south of river, Aubin Grove
We are a fun, but busy family of 4 (soon to be 5) looking for someone to help us out in our day to day lives. Hours will be somewhat flexible (help predominantly required in afternoon/evenings initially - generally from around 2/3pm through to 7/8pm dependent on day). Between 20-30hrs most weeks. Extra hours may be required after bub arrives in early May, to be discussed closer to the time.
Role will include, but not limited to:
* Assisting mother with organising children for school/daycare/the day
* Assisting with household duties including some cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation etc
* Playing with/entertaining the children at times
* Assisting with evening routine (dinner, bath, bed, stories and tidy up)
* General tidying and housekeeping
* Occasionally watching new bub so mother can have a rest
The applicant will be a much-loved member of our family and we would love to include them in some family activities, but also give them plenty of down time.
We have one 4.5yr old boy in pre-primary, and one 2.5yr old boy, both sweet/polite boys, but as typical young boys, can be loud and boisterous at times, a (very friendly staff x) dog and also a (very friendly) cat.
You will have your own bedroom with a queen size bed and TV (with Netflix) and unlimited wifi. Bathroom will be shared with children. We have a swim spa which you will be welcome to use anytime you are not working, and have plenty of parks within a short walk, lovely cafes a short drive away and we are walking distance to a bus stop (short ride to train station). You would have access to use one our cars by arrangement (we may sometimes need use of both cars - but not too often).
What we would love in return is someone who is enthusiastic, fun loving, engaging, respectful of our parenting, and above all, someone who shows initiative to help without micro-managed instructions from us. We would love someone who is social and considers themselves a member of the family.
You will need to either hold, or be happy to obtain, a working with children check, police clearance and hold appropriate visa.
Ideally this would be for a minimum 4 month stay, longer would be even better! Start would be as soon as possible ☺️
