Live in occasional nanny & helper

Hi there,
We are a family of 4, with two kiddos, aged 2 months and 3.5 years. We are hoping to offer free rent and board in exchange for nanny services during the week, with an ongoing wage as well.

My husband works 5 days a week 7am-5pm, and our 3.5 year old goes to childcare 9-4pm on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri. So basically I'm alone all day with the baby and feeling very tired and lonely.

We are hoping you can provide relief for 1-2 hours each day (to hold/play with/feed/soothe baby) and ... more
Hi there,
We are a family of 4, with two kiddos, aged 2 months and 3.5 years.

We are hoping you can provide relief for 1-2 hours each day (to hold/play with/feed/soothe baby) and maybe 1 hour each evening to assist with the toddler or baby, depending on the needs of either. This could be more or less each day, but would not exceed 3 hours most days. Weekends could be less predictable, depending on activities we have planned (we frequently go on trips to the city, or have my parents over to help). So we may need to plan weekends on a week-by-week basis.

Ultimately the role is to provide relief for two tired parents. Flexibility with hours would be best, but we can work around other job or study requirements you may have.

We can offer you a separate room, queen size bed, and your own bathroom/shower. (The bathroom may be used by guests if they come over and need the toilet, but not by us, so you could have all your personal belongings in there and privacy).

Our toddler is a lovely, sensitive boy named Hamish. And our baby is a cute, squishy (and chubby) girl named Georgia. We also have a golden retriever dog and ragdoll cat.

Sometimes we cook, but only basic meals, and sometimes we order food. If we do either we would be happy to offer you a serve at no cost. But some nights (and breakfast and lunch) you will need to cater for yourself. :)

At this stage I don't think I need help with any household chores. Just help with the baby, mostly, and sometimes the toddler. :)

Position would be available for Nov, Dec, and Jan. We are unsure if it will be ongoing after that. This will depend on baby's needs and financials. But we would give plenty of notice! :) Hoping to have help as long as possible. And if help isn't required after this period but you would like to keep renting the room we could also negotiate that arrangement. :)

Wage per week:
Based on room and board being $350 per week, and minimum wage $20 per hour.
$20 x 3 hours per day = $60 per day
$60 x 7 days = $420
$420 - $350 = $70.
However, we would be happy to pay $120 per week (negotiable). Plus additional funds if any longer periods of care are needed.

If this sounds like it would interest you please get in contact.
