Fantastic qualified and experienced child carer available for casual babysitting, nannying or tutoring on the Central Coast. Casual babysitting available for Newcastle and Hunter areas also. I am a 39 year old primary school teacher with over 20 years experience working with children. I have been teaching for 10 years and have also done babysitting, nannying and work as a boarding house parent. I am privileged to have worked with such a broad range of children and ages in various settings, which enables me to cater for any ages and needs, including special needs. I am CPR, anaphylaxis, asthma and first-aid trained including infant and child. I generally charge $45 per hour. This could be for up to 6 children any evening or anytime over the weekend. I am available for and have experience in casual babysitting, overnight/ weekend stays, proxy parenting for up to 5 days (although available and confident with longer), school holiday care and tutoring. I am happy to help with homework as part of a job but am also available for private one to one tutoring at a higher rate. I absolutely love taking on any childcare role as I am fun, energetic, creative and adventurous! I enjoy playing, exploring and creating with the children in my care. I sometimes wonder who has more fun! I aim to develop imagination and learning through play based activities. I strive to plan activities that incorporate literacy, numeracy or motor skills and generate learning and curiosity. I love to do arts/crafts, card/board games, drama games, outside games, cooking and activities related to a child's interests. During daytime care I think it is important to get outside and be active with the children. This could be playing in the yard, going for a walk in the neighbourhood or on trips to places in the local area including parks, library, museum, wetlands centre, bush walking, picnics or reserves. Through my genuine, fun and playful care I am able to quickly build rapport with children which puts parent's minds at ease knowing that their child/children are happy and safe in my care. This also helps for one off babysitting occasions, which I am more than happy to do. I come highly recommended with reputable references, which can be shared with you upon request.
