An honest, trustworthy, and mature mother who loves children; professionalIy, I have been a teacher's aide & special needs assistant. I am a mother with 2 adult children, and reside in Woodbridge, south of Hobart in Tasmania, with my husband Rick (who is also available for helping you and looking after your children). I would love to help you with your children. In my professional life, I have worked in many schools in several states as well as in an international school in Indonesia. I have worked in the classroom as a teacher's aide and some of the areas I have training in are reading recovery, art and crafts and special needs. I have a Cert III in Educational Assistance and several years working in a special needs department of a private school in Queensland. I have also worked in Administration in many corporate areas as well as Executive Assistant to the Principal of a private Grammar school in NSW. I have a special interest in children being exposed to reading as well as enjoying their creativity, and learning to be resilient and confident. I like to encourage through positive reinforcement whilst also providing reasonable boundaries. My husband and I have two children who are both degree qualified and now financially independent; our eldest/daughter is the Tourism Officer for the Tenterfield Shire in NSW, and our son works in Melbourne as a Design Engineer. Our children have learned to deal with the constantly changing world we live in through being exposed to several re-locations and living overseas in Indonesia for 3-4 years. We are extremely proud of both of them and are always keen to spend time with them. We love who they have become as adults and individuals. My husband and I love to travel and my passions are painting and photography. Rick loves playing golf and is interested in all sports, among other things. My husband and I transitioned to retirement in 2013 and spent 5 years travelling and housesitting in Australia, before making our move to Tasmania in 2017. Rick has a current Working with Children Check (Victorian) which he held for his volunteer work with Rotary; I have previously held WWCC's in both Queensland and NSW, although these have expired.
