My name is Krysi (30yo F) & work in finance whilst studying social work at UON. I am seeking to work with families in Newcastle & the Hunter I often go by the name Krysi, despite my full name being Christine. I hold a part time position in finance and study an Honours program in Social Work at the University of Newcastle. I have obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts also from 2010. At times, I do juggle a few other committments such as housesitting, petsitting, babysitting for relatives and a few personal hobbies such as yoga, sport & art; all of which is time managed by me. I have just come home from six months of solo travelling in the United Kingdom & Europe. During this time I consistently looked afer people's homes & animals while the families themselves travelled. I was lucky enough to meet some incredible families with whom I still share contact with. On occasion, I was able to assist these young families by entertaining, feeding and grooming their children either side of my visits too. I enjoyed these experiences whilst abroad, so I would like to offer my services to local families who are after someone honest, reliable, empathetic, professional and trustworthy to assist them; but also someone who genuinely wants the carer to be a small part of the family. I do also share a professional interest in the health and wellbeing of children and adults alike, and this would be great experience towards my career trajectory. Despite travelling, my position in finance was kindly held for me whilst I took a period of Extended Unpaid Leave. I await to hear from my employer whether I return to my usual part time position, or if I am made to return as a Full Time employee. I am open to leaving my position in finance with the right opportunity, which would also open up my availability for families. Currently, I am awaiting timetable releases from the University in order to clarify more specific daytime availability. I do have four beautiful nieces and a brand new nephew with whom I have gained most of my experience with children. I am a very hands on Aunty, with ages ranging from 1mo - 8yo. Having said that, your preferred method of rearing, feeding, routines and so on would be respected and adhered to at all times. I am open to constructive feedback and always allow for open communication; all I ask of parents is the same level of respect. I hold a current WWCC, Police Check, First Aid Certificate and Automatic Drivers Licence. Please note; once I return home and commence work again in January, I aim to complete the modules offered on this site.
