Title: Experienced Nanny Needed in Douglas (Townsville) – 7yo & Newborn – Long Term Potential About Us: We are a professional family based in Douglas, looking for a dependable and caring Nanny to join our family team. We have two wonderful boys: a 7-year-old and an 11-week-old baby. We are looking for someone who can help us navigate the daily routine, support our eldest with his schedule, and provide attentive care for our newborn. The Role: This is a varied role that requires a split focus between caring for a young baby and managing the school routine for an active 7-year-old. * For the 7-year-old: You will be responsible for school drop-offs and pickups, as well as driving him to extracurricular activities. We also need assistance with ensuring his school uniform is ready, managing his laundry, and occasionally packing lunchboxes. * For the Baby (11 weeks): During the day, you will look after the baby for a set number of hours. This includes all standard infant care (feeding, settling, naps). * Household Support: We require help with light household errands to keep things running smoothly, such as loading/unloading the dishwasher and general family laundry. Home Environment: For the next 8–9 months, a grandparent will be present in the home. They can assist with meal preparation but have limited physical capacity to handle the baby. Therefore, we need a nanny who is confident and capable of taking full charge of the physical aspects of baby care (lifting, carrying, settling). Requirements: * Experience: Previous childcare or nanny experience is essential, particularly with infants. * Transport: You must have a valid driver’s license and your own reliable car for school runs and activities. * Attributes: We are looking for someone dependable, flexible, and looking to commit to a family. * Clearances: A Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is preferred. Schedule & Pay: * Hours: Current hours are flexible/negotiable for the right candidate. * Future Growth: There is significant room for increased work hours starting May 2026, as both parents transition back to full-time work. * Compensation: We offer a respectable standard pay rate, commensurate with experience.
