I have been a full-time nanny for four families over the last six years. During that time, I have seen newborns grow into toddlers and then go to school. I love taking the children to parks, swimming, playing at home with their favourite toys, and getting to know the kids one-on-one. I love being a part of the family and will help with cleaning, cooking, school drop-off/pickups or anything that will make the parents' lives that little bit easier. For me it is important that I build a relationship with the family I am working for. What kids love about me
The children love it when I get down on their level and play with their favourite toy or game. They love it when I take them to the part to play for hours and will always join in on their activities. The children enjoy when we do activities together like cooking, bike riding, painting, jumping on the trampoline, sitting and reading, booking, and drawing.
What I love about this work
Me, I love building a relationship with children. I love being able to learn about their favourite things and them teaching me all about them. It is important that the children trust me, and I do this by getting down on their level and learning as much as possible about them.
It is also important to me that I have a great relationship with the parents because it makes my job and their job a lot easier.
I have always felt like a part of the family with my past Nannying jobs. This has been great because it makes communication easier, builds trust and respect, and can relieve any stress parents may feel about leaving their child.
