I'm a 4th year uni student (21 yrs) studying primary education at QUT. I have been babysitting for over 5+ yrs
Working in a loving and happy family environment would enable me to gain skills I wish to possess to enter my career in education. My aspirations to become a teacher originated for me from a very young age. I have always loved being around children, especially younger children. The idea of making a positive difference in a child's life and being looked up to as a role model has always been a personal aspiration of mine.
I have spent much of my time with and around children, either babysitting or coaching sport such as Netball and Swimming. Over the last two years I have been working with disabled children at Samford Riding for the Disabled (RDA), where I have been volunteering my time to help these children learn to ride horseback. I have found this opportunity to be most rewarding and a valuable use of my time. I have also assisted at school for Choirs, as well as participating in a wide range of extracurricular activities including String Ensembles, Plays, School and District Netball and Swimming, Water Polo and helping with the Prep's at my primary school (McDowall State School).
I have been a good example to those younger, always offering encouragement and support and developing team spirit. I have demonstrated consistently my ability to get along with others which is vital in a thriving and challenging work environment which can become intensely busy at times. I am very organised, enthusiastic and responsible, as has been demonstrated by consistent grades for effort, achievement and behaviour across my school report cards; and by my reliability, honesty, integrity and commitment as shown in my references from my volunteer work and positions of appointment.
I am looking forward to an interview where I can further demonstrate my suitability for this position.

I am studying to become a primary educator and therefore I love to spend time with kids, especially young kids as it is my passion. Apart from it being a nice break from my studies, I am also able to learn heaps to help my skills for my future career. In my case, its a win, win situation! :)
