Experienced Au Pair and Nanny looking for ad hoc evening or weekend babysitting
Hi, nice to meet you. Im Ana, 27, originally from the States but I've been in Australia the past six years now. I am looking for some ad hoc babysitting, mostly evenings and weekends. I have worked with kids since I was 14 teaching swim lessons, tutoring, and babysitting as well as, later on working as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher. Most recently, I have au paired in NSW, QLD, and WA. I'm working on getting a RPL degree in childcare but I have many years of experience with kids as I hope you can see.
I find myself to be a very creative person and given my background, I try to incorporate educational activities throughout the day. I'm happy to help with bathing, feeding, changing nappies (if needed), and the usual housework, among other things that you may need. Logistically, I have a full license, have a WWCC, references, and have been certified in first aid and CPR for children and adults since I was 14. I am currently doing a PhD in Educational Psychology but have decided to take some time off to pursue childcare as it's always been a passion of mine.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read and please feel free to reach out via comment below or pm. I'm really looking forward to this next venture and working with you!

What parents love about me
First, I feel is my genuine engagement with the kids right from the start to gain trust and create a safe and loving environment for the child/ren while the parents are away. Second, I feel is my creativity in coming up with different games, crafts, and ways of learning that are age appropriate and fun for the kids
What kids love about me
First, I believe kids love that I am able to be silly, spontaneous, and to make up any number of games so that we always have things we can do together. Also, I genuinely listen to the kids and try to connect with what their needs are to help them feel most comfortable while their parents are away.
What I love about this work
I love how every day and every child is different which presents new opportunities for me to engage with kids, make them laugh, keep them safe and healthy, and to be able to see the world through the kids eyes.
