A big sister who's had loads of experience babysitting back home in Indonesia, happy to care for kids aged 8mo to 18yo. Nice to meet you! :)
Hi! I'm Klarisa, an international student looking for babysitting job's part time to have a bit of extra cash for groceries in Uni and kill some time during the holidays.
Although I'm not the best at babysitting, I've had experience babysitting my siblings (aged 10 and 6) from a very young age, and babysitting a couple of neighbor's children, my nieces, and nephews. So, I'm confident enough to say that I know the basics of babysitting as long as the schedule and rules are provided.

When it comes to skills, I'm quite good at household work, like ironing and washing clothes by hand, helping with errands, and I don't mind cleaning dirty diapers either (or helping with potty training). I'm also an amateur home cook, able to cook simple homemade Indonesian meals (that are not too difficult) and western type food as long as I've got the ingredients for it. Recipes for Vegan / Vegetarian / Allergenic / Gluten-free / Halal meals included.
I'm also quite creative when it comes to playtime (so the kids won't just be stuck at home watching TV or their gadgets) since I'm knowledgeable in the Montessori type of learning, I'm happy to make up mini-games and provide arts-and-crafts supplies for playtime.
I'm also happy help with all sorts of homework, including subjects like Math, Science, and Chinese; and for the Indo-muslim mamas who need help with their kids' Iqra studies, I can help with that too... and I'll make sure that they pray under my care as well.
Onto more serious things, I'm quite new to Melbourne so I don't really know how to commute to areas outside of Melbourne city (but I'm alright with Brunswick), and if I do arrive late, I apologize in advance because I'm bad with directions and I often get lost. I'll be glad to do last minute babysitting jobs, and my babysitting charges are negotiable (though usually $19 minimum per hour per children below the age of 6, and $25 for children above the age of 6, but no change in price on weekends or holidays). Additionally, I will not be able to babysit past 6.30pm, because the commute home and my student accommodation area is scary late at night :(
One more thing, I'm not comfortable babysitting when there are men or male figures over the age of 20 around the house, and I'm deathly allergic to cats and their fur. I dont mind other pets though, and I also dont mind dog-sitting alongside the babysitting (though an extra $2.5 per dog)
I'll only be free to do babysitting jobs at the start of November, after my first semester is over, I'm just setting up an account in advance, though if you'd like to book me in advance as a babysitter on November, I'll be more than happy to arrange. I'll be going back home to Jakarta around 23rd Dec - 31 Jan though, but I'll be happy to babysit normally again after that :)
Note: Fees are negotiated according to various factors including weekday/weekend, daytime/evening, number of children, age range of children, one-off/regular booking, last minute

What I love about this work
I love babysitting babies, theyre so adorably cute, to the point that i dont mind their barfs and poopy diapers, and kids under the age of 15 reminds me a lot of my siblings, and I used to love playing with them before I had to go overseas for university.
Oh and babysitting is a great way for me to socialize and familiarize myself with Melbourne city (something which I've been hoping to do since I got here), and a fun getaway from the stressful uni assignments.
