I have a bright bubbly personality and believe I can adapt to get along with anyone. I am flexible and adaptable to suit families as life is often crazy and quite often the unexpected does happen. love being involved with the families and families. I am a big believer in trust and forming those connections. I am respectful of others belongings and try to be as tidy as possible (we all know how that can go with kids though). I am happy to do some light house work and help out in any way that I can.

Children love me because I’m fun. I love getting involved, helping with homework and learning about their interests. I am always interested in the stories that children have to tell and try to get to know the children on a deep personal level. I love planning little activities and outings (with the parents permission) that I know the children will love. For example, one of the children I babysit regularly loves being outdoors. They are sporty and love looking for cool rocks and little bugs so I took him orienteering at a local park. It’s things like this that both the children and I enjoy that helps build the mutual trust and respect.

I love this line of work because of the people. I have met so many amazing families and have experienced so many different cultures not only through the children, but also through the parents. Opportunities like these don’t always occur in day to day life. I love children and the way they go about life. They help remind me that life is fun. Children always make me laugh and smile and I think that always makes it worth it.
