I am enthusiastic, intelligent and independent so I am very confident and capable of looking after children and making decisions even if the children don't always approve! I also have experience with toddlers as I spent 10 months as an au pair to two boys aged 1.5 and 3 - this was quite a challenge at times but I feel very comfortable with childcare now.

My host kids loved my physicality (lots of hugs, tickles and playing), reading (so many books!), storytelling, singing, baking and playfulness. The older boy would sit on my lap and beg for me to tell Jack and the Beanstalk just one more time. I often made new games or found new books to keep myself entertained!

I love the work because I find it very rewarding. The connection I made with my host kids was really special to me and seeing them grow, using words/phrases I had taught them or they had unintentionally picked up from me made all the difficult work worth it. I also like how fun, playful and honest kids are - they are so open to new games and concepts and I lvoe sharing my passions of science, music and language with them.
