Hello! My name is Lucy and I'm a 15 year old currently in grade 10. I love being around children and have grown up around them all my life. This is due to my mum working in child care and now only have I grown up going to work with her but she has also run a home day-care I grew up in. My name is Lucy and I'm a 15 year old currently in grade 10. I love being around children and have grown up around them all my life. This is due to my mum working in child care and now only have I grown up going to work with her but she has also run a home day-care I grew up in. Even after becoming older and partaking in my own social life I have still carried my mothers love for children and help to look after up to 6 kids Sunday afternoon at my church while their parents can engage in their community, I help to mentor younger dancers in my school and I am the newest dance captain taking up responsibilities of choreographing, paying 1 on 1 attention and teaching, and before my service trip I was partaking in a thing my school called peer mentoring. Every Friday lunch I would give up my lunch break to go down to the junior section of my school and hang out with the young kids. I often found myself giving them advice, helping in situations they wouldn't know how to deal with, but most importantly forming a close and special bond with them and I hope to go back soon.
