I am an educator, who is committed to creating a safe, fun and nurturing environment for your little one to thrive. Please see my profile :)
I am currently over halfway through my Bachelors of Early Childhood Education and am working at a long day care. I specialise in infants aged 0-3, but have previous experience with familiar children aged up to 8. I would absolutely love the opportunity to gain even more experience in the industry, where I will commit to creating the utmost exciting, fun and engaging environment for your child to develop- whether that be in-house sitting, helping with drop offs/pick ups, or spending a fun day ... moreI am currently over halfway through my Bachelors of Early Childhood Education and am working at a long day care. What parents love about me
Parents of children in my care at work really value my attitude towards child development and the way in which I work. I thrive in a fun setting where I can learn through my environment and through guidance from more-experienced, knowledgable others. This is reflected in my practice, as I view myself as a guardian for all children in my care, whilst always adopting play-based approaches to learning. I treat all children as if they were my own and love celebrating their successes with families.
What kids love about me
Children in my care really love my energy. I genuinely care about each and every child I look after and this is reflected through our relationships. I have an enthusiastic outlook to life and its challenges and promote this in the children I care for. I enjoy reading, playing games and spontaneity in play- this can look like finding intentional, teachable moments through children's ideas and interactions, as well as turning these into child-led games and experiences.
What I love about this work
I love this work because it allows me to be my true self. I genuinely care and love every single human that I have ever worked with- even my colleagues, and having a job where I can connect with every person (children and colleagues) is extremely rewarding. It is also lovely to celebrate children's milestones and success with parents and I love contributing to their development as an individual.
