What parents love about me
Parents love my kind, caring and nurturing nature. I am naturally a softhearted person, who has always adored children. Parents also love my respectfulness, responsibility and reliability. I am able to follow strict guidelines and respect parents and kids' boundaries. I have also received praise on my ability to bond with and connect with the kids i'm working with.
What kids love about me
The kids love my ability to be fun! Having a childlike essence within myself, I am able to genuinely have fun and enjoy my time with the kids i'm caring for. I like to play games, get creative, get a little messy (cleaning up afterwards of course!), and create memories. I'm happy to engage with the interests of the kids, and do all kinds of activities. From princess tea parties, to scavenger hunts and toy car races. The older kids that I have worked with have also liked my ability to connect with them, and be a great role model, almost acting as an older sibling.
What I love about this work
There are so many things that I love about this work. The first of which being the bonds that you make with the children and their families. Being genuinely missed while away, and loved by the kids, are what make all the hardship and tantrums worth it. Seeing them grow and learn through my care is heartwarming and fulfilling. I also am able to learn so much through this work. Kids can teach you all kinds of things that many adults have lost touch with. For example creativity, imagination, humour, and wonder. Working with children helps me to reconnect with these things. I have a genuine passion of caring for children and I hope to continue to nurture that.
