I'm Evie, I'm the second oldest of four girls and I've just moved up to Newcastle from Sydney for uni to study a bachelor of biomedical science. I graduated high school in 2022 and spent last year working and travelling. I also tutor maths and science up to year 12 and primary school English so very happy to help the kids with any homework. I've got two labradors at home in Sydney as well so I'm all good with pets :)

What parents love about me
I'm very punctual to babysitting jobs as I know how stressful it can be when the babysitter is late, and will always let you know if I am running late and when I will arrive. I will always do my best to give you as much notice as possible if I can't make a regular babysitting day, however this is very rare. I will respect your household rules and ensure the kids still follow them when you aren't around (e.g. no screens, fruits before junk food etc.). I will always make sure to tidy up the house before I leave/you get home, and will try my best to get the kids involved with cleaning up any messes they leave :)
What kids love about me
The kids I've babysat before love that we always play games together of their choosing after they have finished getting ready for school in the mornings, or once they've finished their homework in the afternoons. I love to play and joke around with the kids and will always get 100% involved in any fun and silly games they want to play whilst also making sure they are all safe and happy. I can also help them with any homework if they need it and always do my best to make it as fun as possible for them. I'm always up for a park adventure and will be happy to spend time at nearby parks with the kids and play all sorts of games with them until they are ready to go home.
What I love about this work
I'm a kid at heart, so the thing I love most about babysitting is just playing the kids' silly games as it reminds me of when I was younger playing those games with my sisters. I love when the kids grow to love me, come out of their shell a bit, and get excited to see me every time I'm looking after them. I find that babysitting is a good break from studying and any other stressful things that may be happening in my life as I can just fully focus on the kids and have fun with them whilst looking after them :)
