Parents love how engaged I am with their children. I love to teach them new things, and help them learn about new perspectives! They also love how I encourage doing stimulating activities such as reading, coloring, playing, etc; rather than screen time. I am also always extremely punctual to every position, making it easy for parents to stick to their routines. I try to go the extra mile whenever I can and tidy up, or just help to make their lives easier, and they really appreciate that. But overall, parents appreciate the positive impact I leave on their children.

Kids love that I am always down for whatever! Sometimes when they are nervous to meet new people, I try to encourage them to do their favorite activity. Whether it's playing pretend pirates out in the dirt, coloring, reorganizing books, or playing Legos, I always offer/ask for them to do that activity with me. This warms them up to a new presence in their lives! Kids also love that I listen to whatever they have to say, and don't disregard them. If they want to sit and talk about how they made a magic fairy house, or why they love apples so much, I am always there to listen. It makes them feel heard and understood!

The thing I love most about this work is getting to see young children learn about the world. It is such an amazing and youthful experience. Whether its watching a baby learn how to walk for the first time, or teaching a toddler new words, or helping an 8 year old understand the concept of empathy, seeing those gears turn in their brains is amazing! I also just love kids in general, and am so lucky that I get to spend my days with them. They are full of their own unique thoughts and perspectives!
