My name is Emily and I am looking for a part time position with a warm, welcoming family! I am open to families of all different shapes and sizes, from any background and with a wide range of needs. I do not have any in depth experience with children with physical, mental or behavioural needs however would be open to learning! I would also be open to completing other duties (school pick up/drop off, basic household chores, children's laundry, etc.) and would also be open to basic pet maintenance.
When I was in high school I gained experience in an OOSH setting working with primary aged children. After graduating in 2022 I decided I wanted to pursue my love of working with children which was when I started my traineeship. I have since commenced a Bachelor of Primary Education and Bachelor of Arts with a major in Early Childhood Teaching and a minor in Early Childhood Development. I am looking for the opportunity to share my knowledge of education with a family and play a role in helping them care for their little ones.
Due to my university classes I am looking for a role that is a little bit flexible and able to accomodate classes that are likely to change every 6 months. I am of course happy to collaborate with a families preference regarding ideal days and times where possible!
In my spare time I love to do artsy activities like colouring and painting. I love to read and am very passionate about baking and spend a lot of time in the kitchen! I don't mind a mess if it means that we're having fun and I love to go on adventures. Most of all I am family orientated, and would love the opportunity to create a strong relationship with a family and their child/ren.
