I am a mother to four adults, now 37-26 and grandmother of five aged 17, 13, 8, 6.8 and 5. Two of my children are ASD II, one is also intellectually impaired with speech and proprioceptive issues, which has meant significant experience in using patience, loving tolerance and a calm, quiet attitude in setting firm boundaries when interacting with children. I was grateful to be able to be a stay-at-home Mum for the first twenty years of their lives.

In 2015, I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, through TAFE Brisbane. As an accredited Early Childhood Educator, I have my First Aid Certificate, including asthma management and anaphylaxis, CPR, Food handling, Risk behaviour management, Child Protection as well as a current Blue Card and Police check. I have a clean open license, source an annual safety certificate for my vehicle and have 4 convertible baby seats installed in case of need.

My own children's development ranges from gifted to intellectually impaired to neurodiverse, giving me practical lived experience in the wide range of "normal". I am currently undergoing assessment for ASD and ADHD myself. This maturity, allied with formal qualifications, offers a uniquely broad experience for your family.

The children in my FDC are between 18 months and 4 years. Three I have cared for since before they were five months old. Attachment grounds my philosophy, allowing your child to feel secure with me. I am confident with newborns
