My name is Grace Greenwood and I am a 18 year old university student study Nursing at the University of Queensland.

This year I babysat for a family two mornings a week. I looked after one little girl and took her to school on those mornings. The job involves giving the child breakfast and making sure she was ready for school, as well as maintain the tidiness of the house. The job involves giving the child breakfast and making sure she was ready for school, as well as maintain the tidiness of the house. I also looked after a 16-month year old boy on Wednesday mornings from 7:30 to 12 pm. The job involved feeding him, playing with him and taking on outings to the park and the library. Further more I have worked casually for a family for about 5 years. They have three children. The job required me to take complete responsibility for the care of the children – nine-year-old twin boys and a four-year-old girl. This involved feeding them and putting them to bed. At times this position was challenging. It required effective communication and consistent expectations. Interestingly, even negotiating skills played a part at times.
