I have my open license and own car, first aid with CPR, fully vaccinated and working with children blue card As well as my experience working with children I feel my strengths include having patience, trust, being able to have a quick connection with children, a toolbox of strategies to use for different situations, lots and lots of FUN educational (or non- educational) ideas to beat boredom! Further, I am able to adhere to parents wishes and respect decisions for their children and how they would like me to work with them. I am also open to other duties as can be discussed. Although it's hard to put all of myself into words, I am confident in my ability to look after children and allow parents to have peace of mind when I am with your special little people. Respect for their wants/rules for their children, patience, able to multitask, ability to connect with children to make them feel comfortable being with someone new, always calm, good energy. And - healthy home cooked foods!
What kids love about me
Story-telling and imagination and dress-ups, making activities out of every day items, singing (maybe laughing at my bad singing), can match their energy (physical play i.e., playing in the backyard, or quite play i.e., colouring), colouring and also being able to have safe play.
What I love about this work
Kids continually amaze me, from the new things they learn over time and within minutes. I love the diversity among ages, families etc. I enjoy getting to know them and it has really helped me within my employment and studies. Most of all I always make sure I have leave them with a 'positive moment' whether it was teaching them something new, or helping them settle..
