Hello. My name is Joy and I have worked in the children services industry since 1985. I cater to individuality & love to see them have fun
I arrived in Queensland in 2015 to be closer to my children. I have 5 adorable grandchildren and look forward to spending time with them and watch them develop and grow. I am loving, happy, positive, caring, responsible and flexible in my caring for children. I have very good communication skills and love a good laugh. I enjoy following the children's lead and go with the flow attitude, as long as it is safe. I have had extensive training over the 35 years working with children from 6 weeks ... moreI arrived in Queensland in 2015 to be closer to my children. I have had extensive training over the 35 years working with children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. I have my Advanced Diploma in Children's Services and also my TAE (Training and Assessing) Certificates. I commenced my career in Family Day care in Melbourne and then Mildura when my son was 6 months of age. I then changed to working with children in the childcare setting in 2001, working in Mildura. I stayed in this work environment until the end of 2008 when I was approached to teach at Sunraysia Institute of TAFE (Sunitafe). I commenced my teaching role in January 2009 and taught adult learning until end of 2012 in Mildura then taught in SA TAFE for a further 2 years. My role was to teach adults from 18 years of age all about children's development. This was a very rewarding position and I was nominated best teacher of the year for Sunitafe in 2010. I also commenced writing for Sunitafe beginning of 2013-2015. I have completed 17 Learning Guides and Teacher's Manuals since then. They support Certificate III and Diploma levels in Children's Services. I love what I do and can assure you that your child or children will be cared for safely and responsibly. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
Note: Fees are negotiated according to various factors including weekday/weekend, daytime/evening, number of children, age range of children, one-off/regular booking, last minute

What I love about this work
That I am doing something that I love. Being around children and supporting their growth and development the best way I can. Every child is different and each has their own personality and should be cared for to individuality.
