I'm often a child at heart but I can definitely step up to the plate when need be. I'm a very happy and friendly person, and rather sociable when I'm comfortable around people. I'm a very trustworthy and reliable person.
I adore kids and really believe that children must be cherished. Whilst I strive to be a childs best friend, I also am not afraid to reprimand them (so long as the parent is comfortable with this). I will only ever do as the parent allows me to do and is happy with me doing.
I'm prepared to play with the children, change nappies, bathe them, help with homework, do small jobs around the house etc. Anything to help make life a little easier for you (the parents)!!

When I did my placement for my Certificate, I found that the parents loved the fact that I was one to sit down and spend quality time with the children, learning their interests and what they enjoy. I found it helped me care for the children better. I am also always respectful towards the parents and children alike. I'm also warm, gentle and loving.
What kids love about me
Children generally like that I sit with them and play whatever it is that they want to play. I'm happy to play make believe, read them stories, dance with them. I try my hardest to make every activity (even cleaning) fun!
What I love about this work
I've honestly learnt more about myself through childcare than I would have done with any other field of work. I've always loved children, knew I was good with them, but working with them has brought out a whole new side of me. I'm much more lively, smiley and happy around children.
