I'm an Early Childhood Education student and I've been building a great experience as a carer along this year, especially with ages 0.9-6.
I'm very passionate about what I'm doing on this phase of my life and it truly makes my day to see the children's growing up and all the little developments achieved, all the new sounds, new words, first steps, new likes and dislikes and skills.
My goal here is to keep building a good experience with children of all ages while I'm studying so I can move on to a career as a Educator in a school setting in the future.
I also value a good relationship with the parents so we can work together towards the children's wellbeing so they can have a great time while under my care and a positive outcome in all other areas of their lives.
A few words about myself, I am originally from Brazil where I studied Languages and Linguistics focused in Translation Studies in Portuguese and French. I also lived in France for about two years studying French language and now I am permanently based in Australia.
Hopefully I will be able to continue my studies in the University soon so I can keep expanding my knowledge to make the most out of my skills to help children in all aspects of their development and build a solid career in the Educational field.
I truly believe children are the most precious thing and we are very responsible for their success in life. They surely are our hope for a better world in the future, and I aim to contribute with my best.
About activities: I'll follow any activities and routine already established for the children by the parents and If wanted I'll be more than happy to teach them a new language, help with homework or doing all kinds of educational and artistic activities such as painting, drawing, colouring, crafting, gardening, baking, playing outside, going to parks, practicing basic yoga and stretching, dancing, playing games, walking the dog, etc.
The practical things:
* Blue Card - it's a permit released upon police and background checking to be able to work with children in Australia; * Registered Carer with the council office - what means you can claim a childcare benefit from the Childcare Centre if you're entitle to; * First Aid Training from TAFE; * References from families; * Full Work Rights in Australia; * About driving: I'm currently on my L plates (til March 2019) so unfortunately I can't drive for you but I'm happy to rely on public transports and I really enjoy walking; * Preferred areas: Fortitude Valley, Spring Hill, Kangaroo Point, Morningside, Cannon Hill, Southbank, West End, Clayfield, Windsor and surroundings areas. But please get in touch anyway!
If you have any questions don't hesitate to message me, I am always available for a first meeting so we can have a chat and see if we are a good match for each other :)

What parents love about me
I value a good relationship with the family, to know their insights about what the children is going through regarding their routine activities, their relationships, mood, school and etc. And I also believe in working together to provide the best care possible to the children so they can blossom in all aspects of their lives.
I always follow the parent's guidelines on pre-estabilish routines, boundaries, limits and activities. If allowed I'm always up for introducing new activities such as painting, crafting, gymnastics, going to the park, picnic, baking, gardening, walking the dog, etc.
I'm very professional and respectful with the family and the children but It's not only a financial/work thing for me, I'm very engaging and I truly care about the children's wellbeing.
What kids love about me
The most important thing for me is to see that the kids are happy and having fun. I notice they usually like when we read stories, make arts and craft and go for an adventure in the park or picnic on the backyard.
What I love about this work
Working as a nanny is being a wonderful experience for me, not only professional but also personal. I really learn a lot with every child I care for and it makes me think a lot about my own childhood and it's always fun to play and revive those memories. I think its really amazing to see all the little developments they have like new sounds, works, first steps and it's very gratifying to contribute with the children's creativity, learning process and growing.
