I am currently working in a child care centre on the coast 5 days a week usually from 7-4pm and have also assisted my mother in caring for children since as long as I can remember ( my entire life ) as my mother owned a family run day care from the comfort of my own home and over the years, learnt the ins and outs of childcare and the valuable lesson of responsibly and the duty of care for others. I'm very active with children, but will also discipline when required. I currently have my, manual drivers licence , a car, First aid certificate, Blue card (have applied), Food safety, and will comply with all the necessary checks that are required. I have worked in hospitality for the past 4 years, so preparing meals and snacks for your children will not be a problem. I am a lover of sports like dance, soccer, surf life saving, cycling, surfing, swimming. I'm in touch with the youth of today and I can assist quite easy with homework, and while the school curriculum changes, I am current with it, having graduated 2 years ago. I have a very nurturing nature, I love kids and making up games, keeping them happy and full of life!I I love the outdoors and adventuring and staying active. I am self sufficient , confident in my abilities, motivated, organised, approachable and friendly. The best thing that kids love about me is that I'm very approachable, I must have an aura that draws kids to me, I ask them lots of questions and get on their level and relate to their age. I'm never awkward and I love a good conversation.
What I love about this work
I love meeting knew people and personalities, It gives me great pleasure in making children smile, I like the responsibility and independence it gives me ! I've done this since age 10, and each day is different! I have a lot of hospitality background and use to work in a kitchen, I love cooking and I used to be a lifesaver which has given me the skills needed around a pool to keep everyone safe plus I just love kids!
