My name is Ellie and I am naturally a friendly, welcoming and energetic person, looking for casual babysitting job whilst I'm at University.
I have grown up in an extremely close extended family and have always loved babysitting and being around children, which is why I want to continue this work in Canberra. I am now in my second year of studies at ANU and I have always valued my education and the privilege of my life and have always strived to help those less fortunate. I am experienced in tutoring, in high school, I used to volunteer to tutor refugee children helping them to integrate to Australian schools and learn English. Not only was this work very rewarding but it helped me gain practical experience working with children. I have a car and I am a very experienced driver, having participated in driver safety courses. I also have a Practical First Aid certificate from St Johns Ambulance service.
I am hoping to connect with families that see me as an extension of theirs as I feel it is important to have this relationship when caring for your children.

What parents love about me
Parents love the fact that I am professional, punctual and an organised person. Parents are also appreciative of the fact that I am very respectful of their children and their boundaries. I understand and acknowledge that welcoming someone into your family to look after your children is a big thing so this job something I take my job very seriously. Finally, parents respond well to my kind and gentle nature. I really enjoy connecting with families that see me as an extension of theirs as I feel it is important to have this relationship when caring for your children.
What kids love about me
I am a very energetic kind hearted person and I have found that kids respond well to my energy. I also love being outdoors and my hobbies include bushwalking and rock climbing. So kids often love the fact that I am always up for a bit of fun and am very happy to kick a ball around outside with them.
What I love about this work
I love babysitting as it is a wonderful break from studying and I enjoy being able to leave my residential college and be in a grounding family environment.
