A little about me:
I have worked in schools for the last seven years specializing in special education including autism spectrum disroder, global development delay and other intellectual challenges and challenging behaviours.
I also work in mainstream settings.
I work primarily with children aged 4 to 8 but am happy to take younger and older.
My 'big goals' I thrive on are language development, literacy and appropriate social behaviour for all children while still being able to have a fun time.
I go for Port Power! (But dont let that stop you reading!)
I also really like animals, I love dogs of all breeds (yes your big vicious staffy or rottie can jump on me it'll be the highlight of my day) but I am wary of snakes! They're cool if they stay in their tank though.
I do like to have messy fun, like shaving foam and food dye but I do not conduct any of these sort of activities without permission.
I'm recently married to my best friend and we spend a lot of our free time fishing or crabbing.
I can be bit quiet at first with other adults but once I'm out of my shell that's it!
I am more than happy to watch the same movie 100 times in one day if I have to but I do encourage other activties and prefer technology to be a last resort but if you as the parent or caregiver are happy for the TV or iPad to be on then I'm more than happy to flow with that.


I have a working with childrens police clearance, authority to work in DECD 2019&2020, Basic First Aid, 004 first aid and provide all parents a copy of these along with a copy of my drivers license. I do hold other qualifications such as special education trainings, intervention training and a range of others relevant to my SSO position in schools and am happy to also show yous these but there are a lot to list and often the response is "what's that?" Which is 110% fine!
I have my own car and license and will be using it for travel to you if you want services at home.
I do not have a car seat but with permission I am happy to take children out to places I am comfortable (depends on ages/ amounts of children/ etc).
I am also happy to take them out via public transport if they're into those fun rides.
I am happy to assist with toileting, eating and general hygiene needs and have a lot of experience in these areas.

I can swim and am happy to take one or two children to a water park/ centre again depending on ages and other factors.
I grew up in the Semaphore area so like it a lot and am very familiar with it.

On offer:
I am happy to offer my child minding/ baby sitting services for children of any age and am available most weekdays from as early as 5:30am from as low as $20 an hour (depending on times/ additional duties you may require of me).

I am also happy to offer my SSO and tutoring services for children pre school- year three. I have a range of resources I have either bought or created in my own time and am happy to discuss further how I run this as it will always be different for every child because every child learns differently and has different needs. As low as $25 an hour.

I am also happy to offer both services and juggle it a bit- we can create a schedule that suits what you want.

I am happy to prepare their food and will most likely be happy to cook.
I am also happy to do light house work (this may be additional depending what) with the agreement it be done either during nap/ sleep time or in an area where I am not expected to be too far from the kids for their safety.

My rules:
Before being left unattended with your child (ren) they must meet me first with yourself there (I've been in situations where I've come to houses and the kids are asleep- a lot don't like waking up to a stranger in the house and I don't blame them!)

I will have questions that need to be answered before being left unattended with any child for their safety e.g.
Medical conditions
Challenges/ things that may easily upset them that may not be predictable
Food allergies
Likes/ dislikes
Anything important to know, e.g. "oh by the way they like hiding" is always good to know.
Its purely to get to know children a bit before I'm left with them.
