I play guitar and enjoy singing which is one of around 1000 hobbies!. Some others include stamp, coin and gem collecting, painting/drawing, crafts, fire twirling and photography (just to name a few). My partner and I have 4 pets who we love to bits including; our cat named Olive, 1 Children's python named Neak, 1 Darwin python named Medusa and finally our Budgie named Panda. I try to spend as much time with Friends and Family as my tribe are quite important to me.
Now I'd like to tell you about my experiences in the Early Learning Sector. I joined the Childcare Industry in 2011 as an Assistant Educator with a Before and After School Care Program. This was a great learning experience and introduction to working with Children.
In 2012 I began working within an Early Learning Center where I developed my true passion for educating children. Starting out as a multi-age assistant Educator, I worked within all the rooms learning about the different routines, milestones and behaviours that each age group brought, including how to write and implement age appropriate programs, play-spaces and experiences.
I fell in love with the Nursery setting and the infant age group, becoming a permanent assistant Educator within the Nursery. I engaged in many professional development classes and embraced all aspects, quickly becoming the Nursery Room Leader for 6months before the company closed down.
In 2013 I took on the role of Nursery Room Leader at a new Centre. I enjoyed the new and difficult challenges and enjoyed the opportunity to share my personal and professional philosophies, ideas, and high standards with other Educators.
Another passion within the industry was The 'Reggio Emilia inspired approach' which I studied closely and took every opportunity to help other Educators learn and implement these practices. My efforts were noticed by management and I was offered the role of Curriculum Adviser.
In early 2017, I was offered the role of Educational Leader at a new Centre which I accepted and was very excited to begin the new challenges ahead. I quickly found myself missing the Nursery setting, the babies and the over-all joy and sense of fulfilment being with the Children gave me. Unable to shake this feeling I resigned as the Educational Leader.
Late 2017 I was offered a position as Nursery Room Leader in a small family run Center. I remained at this Center until early 2019 and unfortunately had to leave due to a family member becoming quite ill, moving from Melbourne to Warragul.
Thank-you for taking the time to read about my journey and some of my passions within the Childcare Industry, although I have not worked in the industry for 2 years I still love being around children and fostering their growth and learning.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my profile I hope to hear from you soon

What parents love about me
I am very open and honest with parents about how their child's day has been, communication and working together is top priority. I'm quick to pick up a child's routine or timetable and endeavour to follow these as closely as possible. I have 10years experience in Early Learning Centers and am confident with all aspects of caring for your child including giving bottles, feeding, toileting or nappy changes, physical and mental wellbeing, age appropriate education and play, developmental milestones and most importantly I genuinely care for children and strive to ensure all interactions are meaningful.
What kids love about me
I think Children are drawn towards my fun, open and carefree nature. I play the guitar and love to get children moving/dancing to music. I'm a big believer in allowing children to make decisions for themselves and I strongly feel that every child is capable of trying almost anything regardless of age. I'm all about saying yes ...... yes to painting, bubbles, arts and crafts, books and reading, building and destroying, spending time outside in nature, jumping in puddles and getting wet, trucks, sandpits, running and jumping.... no matter what age. I also think that like animals kids just seem to know when careers are genuinely
