Working in childcare has seen me become very personable to parents. I find that parents feel comfortable to have a laugh and/or cry around me. I have been both emotional support and a trusted educator and care giver for over 100 different parents within my working years (6+ years) I became a huge emotional support for a certain child's mother. This child has a medical condition (PH) and for 2 years, I was his sole care giver whilst he was at school.

To answer this, I asked my nephew. He told me he loves his aunty Tata because "she is fun, gives me cuddles and puts band aids on my knee if I fall over". I think one of the most important thing in a child's life is laughter. There is nothing quite as sweet as a child, mid belly-laugh with absolutely no worries in the world.

Caring for children is the most rewarding role I have ever had and is why I am still in the field after beginning when I was only 17. I have tried other roles and none have been quite as soul warming as working with kids, through laughter and challenges, I love when they know I have their back, no matter what.
