Hi. My name is Melanie. I require a casual, flexible nanny for an immediate start. I have two gorgeous daughters, aged 10 and 8 years, and we live in Bushland Beach. I require a casual, flexible nanny for an immediate start. I have two gorgeous daughters, aged 10 and 8 years, and we live in Bushland Beach. My 10 year old daughter was born with a genetic disorder called Williams Syndrome (https://williams-syndrome.org/what-is-williams-syndrome). She is a very energetic, friendly, sweet girl. She has an intellectual impairment and mild autism. She is able to feed and dress herself, but needs some help with showering, brushing her teeth, etc. She loves The Wiggles and dancing. My 8 year old is such a sweet heart, and she loves playing with her Barbies and baby dolls, and plays netball. I work shift work, so I will need someone who is available before and after school, evenings, weekends, and overnight. Shifts will probably be different each week, but you will have 2-4 week's notice. I will not require care during school holidays. The position will involve some: school drop offs/pickups, transport to appointments and after school activities, help with homework, helping the girls get ready for school, bed, etc, light meal preparation, and minimal cleaning (eg. washing dishes). I am looking for a nanny who has: (1) a minimum of a year's experience in child care centres, nannying, or regular babysitting, with contactable references; (2) working with children check (blue card) and police check; (3) valid licence, and own transport (I am willing to pay a fuel allowance); (4) an ABN, or willing to register for one (https://abr.gov.au/For-Business%2c-Super-funds---Charities/Applying-for-an-ABN/); (5) registered as a carer (for child care benefit purposes), or is willing to register (https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/enablers/registered-carers); and (6) plans to stay in Townsville long-term. I am looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic about caring for children, reliable, mature, and fun-loving, and has excellent communication skills. I am willing to pay $17.50-$22/hr, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a fuel allowance, and I will pay a flat rate for overnight shifts.
